Transparencies, geometric apertures and optical illusions are the basis of Skin, the spring / summer 2015 collection presented by Custo Barcelona in the runway at New York Fashion Week.
Highlighting his liking for the woman’s silhouette, Custo Dalmau uses geometric openings in fabrics such as lace, guipure broderie anglaise, allowing a glimpse at the beauty of women’s skin.
The mini dresses with a babydoll cut, boleros, skirts and evasée cut shorts are the key to a collection in which the print rises again as the protagonist. Tribal prints blend with colours that evoke sweet flavours like mint, cream, raspberry, apricot, lemon or plum.
The proposals for men by Custo Barcelona have as a motto comfort and lightness. Baggy trousers and lightweight jackets are presented in shades such as anise, toffee or pistachio. A casual and relaxed style made mainly in knit and linen.
Special prominence is given to swimwear in the proposals of the Catalan brand for next summer. With a sporty and fun rhythm, their models are presented in experimental fabrics and as a new option for outdoors named by the designer as “street underwear.”
