Cruise collections in Ibiza

29/05/2018

ACME designers Andrés Sardá, Jorge Vázquez and Custo Barcelona, together with fashion brands Alvarno, 2nd LAB by The 2nd Skin Co. and Melissa Odabash, have showcased their proposals for the cruise season in the second edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weekend Ibiza, held at the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel. The great cruise collections runway in Spain has also brought together important social figures, such as British model Lottie Moss, special guest of the event, Alessandra de Osma, Los Arys, Raquel Sanchez Silva, Davinia Pelegrí, Oriol Elcacho and Cristina Tosio.

Creativity and innovation are the concepts that mark the guidelines of all the looks by Custo Barcelona, who has showed his new collection for the first time on the Ibiza runway. The dresses, both mini and maxi, are the star garment of the Catalan designer’s proposals. Different volumes, fitted or loose, the dresses are constructed based on multiple fabric cut outs such as silk, knit jacquards, iridescent nylon and even openwork fabrics.

The lingerie brand Andrés Sardá, presented the Resort 2019 collection with the title “Day to night”. A succession of garments that reflect the different moments of the day in which the Andrés Sardá woman enjoys the tropical heat. From spectacular bikinis, swimsuits and dresses with a sophisticated navy character for the day, to delicate garments decorated with Swarovski crystals to brighten up the summer nights.

On the other hand, a woman with an adventurous character, who seeks journeys full of action and adrenaline, has inspired Jorge Vázquez. Specifically, she decides to explore the Sahara and dresses adequately for such an occasion, without losing the brand’s essence and the women it dresses. Very feminine and timeless garments tinted by the landscape’s chromatic palette in which it is inspired: beige, camel, stone and white, among others.
