Contemporary rite

Fashion brand Ángel Schlesser, under the creative direction of Alfonso Pérez, presented the Spring/Summer 2026 collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. Pérez crafts an aesthetic language characterized by the use of color and prints on fine fabrics, evoking classic pieces with a unique identity and impeccable finishes.

The collection draws inspiration from liturgy and its symbolism, conceiving the act of dressing as a sacred ritual. From this perspective, the fashion show was conceived as a contemporary rite: the runway functioned as an altar, where each garment, color, and gesture composed a symbolic choreography in which dressing transforms into a form of faith and presence.

Visually, the collection showcased pieces with a strong identity, in which color and print served as expressive elements. The understated palette was balanced by a ritualistic gesture and a restrained atmosphere. Silhouettes, volumes, and finishes reflected technical mastery and aesthetic refinement—central elements of Pérez's vision.

With this collection, Alfonso Pérez reaffirms his place in Spanish fashion, contributing a sophisticated and understated aesthetic that engages with the history and symbolic gestures of clothing. A refined proposal that transforms fashion into a ritualistic and elegant act of presence.
