SPANISH SLOW FASHION, FACING COVID

10/09/2020

During difficult times the Spanish fashion community comes together. Twenty-eight fashion brands belonging to the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), representing the values of slow fashion, come together to launch a new solidarity action in collaboration with REALE Seguros. An auction of their most special fashion designs aimed at raising funds for the Foundation to fight AIDS and Infectious Diseases and the COVID-19 research projects that this organization has launched thanks to the initiative #Yomecorono.

Despite being a sector hard hit by the health crisis, Spanish author fashion has shown great solidarity by launching numerous altruistic initiatives in recent months. Proof of this are the different mask-making projects that have been activated during this crisis as well as collaborations with different causes related to COVID-19 in Spain to which this fundraising auction is added showcasing the exercise of responsibility and generosity with their social environment carried out by the Spanish fashion community.

This auction is activated coinciding with Madrid es Moda, a project that seeks to bring to the final consumer the most human values of the fashion sector during Madrid Fashion Week. MeM is also firmly committed to the future of a healthier and respectful fashion industry. Proof of this are the pieces that go up for auction, unique and high-value designs that have conquered the most demanding audiences as well as international celebrities and with which the most outstanding Spanish designers demonstrate the know-how of Spanish fashion artisans now aiding everyone’s health by donating their most special creations with the help of REALE Seguros, for the benefit of the Foundation against AIDS and Infectious Diseases and its #Yomecorono movement.

The pieces may be placed on bid on the Charity Stars auction platform until September 14th.
