The earth's roots

Dolores Cortés presented her "Earth" collection at Gran Canaria Swim Week by Moda Cálida, a collection that celebrates organic beauty and a return to that which is essential. The designer continues a family tradition lasting over seven decades in the artisanal creation of swimwear, reinterpreting that legacy today with a contemporary and conscious language.

Inspired by the substrata of nature, "Earth" delves into earth's living matter: its curves, textures, and stillness. The collection proposes a poetic interpretation of the earthly, where imperfection and that which is manual acquire a symbolic value. Each garment suggests a dialogue between ancestry and modernity, between permanence and transformation.

The silhouettes unfold in enveloping, organic lines, with fabrics that flow over the body like molded clay. Neutral tones, terracotta, as well as Pantone's Mocha Mousse predominate, contrasting with shades of blush pink that soften the palette. The prints evoke archaic flowers and abstract stains, while handmade details reinforce that which is tactile as well as the design's emotional meaning.

"Earth" meditates upon origins: a journey toward authenticity, where nature is honored, not imitated.
