Explosion of colours in the second day of MBFWM

20/09/2015

Moises Nieto was in charge of opening the second day of fashion shows at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid. The 60s, Torremolinos, this is the starting point of the designer from Jaen, who is inspired by the golden age of the Costa del Sol that exudes freedom, modernity and tolerance. Culottes, mini skirts and light dresses are the protagonists of a collection with a view to the past but also to the future through the use of technological fabrics like neoprene knit and accessories printed in 3D with biodegradable materials.

African culture is the source of inspiration for Andres Sardá. The label proposes a trip through an imaginary aesthetic of Africa departing with the safari jacket, which is allied with sequins and golden details, dressing a very sophisticated woman voyager. Ethnic motifs and tribal styles gather in creations made from ancestral fabrics such as raffia. Zebras, cats and snakes are the protagonists of the daring lingerie and swimwear garments created by Nuria Sardá for a sybarite woman addicted to adventure.

Easiness, perfection and elegance are the premises of Roberto Torretta for next spring-summer season. Refreshing and feminine, the collection develops through volumes and sophisticated cuts for daywear garments and dresses and jumpsuits that shape sculpturally the female body for the night. Wide colour palette with pinks, greens, greys, black and off white in a collection in which the Argentine designer parades again his expertise with leather.

Amaya Arzuaga presents a collection that sets out from curved lines. Wavy silhouettes in garments made with fabrics that exude a certain romanticism style. The architecture of Eero Saarinen is the source of inspiration of the designer from Burgos, who uploads to the catwalk a proposal that plays with circular volumes, layering and pleats. Three Dimensional effects in garments dyed in yellow, green or pink, in contrast with neutral tones like white or beige.

Juanjo Oliva chooses the dress as the star garment for next spring-summer. Explosion of colours in the creations by the designer from Madrid, who heightens femininity to the maximum level with creations that accentuate the silhouette and encircle the waist. Demure sensuality with large openings in garments with flowing lines. The collection by Oliva is tinted with the hues of the rainbow and hence colour becomes the best ally of the designer to create a proposal branded by simplicity and the purest elegance.

Ana Locking presents Foreva a collection that arises from love and everyday life. The small moments and the details of the day to day are translated into a chromatic range of comfortable colours that accompany us daily such as peach, sand, sky blue or ivory, compared to other spontaneous like fire orange, that bursts with strength in a proposal characterized by combining tradition and innovation. The designer runs away from the conventions of manufacture presenting creations with unfinished effects, fake lace, imperfect embroidery and uneven pleats.

Hannibal Laguna reviews the DNA of his label, which embarks on a new phase after the alliance with MTNG Experience that will allow the designer to carry the essence of his runway collections to the street through shoes and accessories designs. The creator presents a collection of colourful and rich fabrics like silk chiffon or delicate lace. Necklines and tight bodies contrast with skirts and dresses with a cape cut that parade once again his meticulous sewing artisan couture.
