Juan Vidal presents Fortune, his latest collection in his new creative space

Juan Vidal presents his latest collection, Fortune, in his new creative space located in Madrid where interior design and fashion converge; two parallel worlds.

Proof of this convergence is Juan Vidal ’s new space. The fashion designer has gone a step further by creating a multipurpose hub where everything begins and everything ends; it can be a showroom, an atelier, or a photographic studio to produce his own campaigns, and even a place to receive his made-to-measure clients.

His latest collection, Fortune, is his third drop, a new capsule collection that pays homage to the goddess of Fortune and good luck in all its manifestations. A collection that blends two prints where design and fashion converge through the thread of fortune. The first print represents good luck in different cultures, such as a frog; butterflies with their transforming capacities; the lotus flower, which is associated with being reborn in China with the possibility of erasing the past to start anew. He does so using a black background fabric, illustrating oversized dresses and pajamas made of recycled twill.

The other print accounts for palmistry, an ancient technique that consists of reading the lines of the hands to know what destiny befalls. This is accounted for through the Manila shawl, a garment with a markedly feminine character related to folklore, and that evokes gypsy fortune telling. Soleil pleats and crystal pleats offer a new vision of this ancient technique, providing a modern character.
