Spanish Fashion unites for #GENSPAIN

25/06/2025

#GenSpain was officially launched on June 24th. This platform is driven by independent designers, brands, and artists who share a common vision: to reposition Spanish fashion as a cultural and creative force on the global stage.

The initiative arises at a time of profound transformation for the cultural industries. Identity, craftsmanship, and collaboration being the strategic pillars. All the participants are members of the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), making #GenSpain an active showcase of the talent, diversity, and evolving capacity of contemporary Spanish design.

The first phase brings together seven associated designers, with distinct backgrounds, languages, and approaches, but united by a common ambition: to build fashion with purpose, vision, and identity.

  • Carlota Barrera: tailoring with a queer vision and contemporary perspective.
  • Leandro Cano: sculptural drama and international reach.
  • Ernesto Naranjo: intimate sensitivity and training at Central Saint Martins.
  • Moisés Nieto: sustainability, local production, and critical reflection.
  • ManéMané (Miguel Becer): dialogue between art, fashion, and music.
  • Mans (Jaime Álvarez): classic tailoring reinterpreted with sophistication.
  • Juan Vidal: visual storytelling, impeccable technique, and a feminine perspective.

#GenSpain is not a label: it’s a creative community committed to making fashion a space for cultural conversation, aesthetic innovation, and international exposure. A collective drive that reinforces ACME’s commitment to Spanish talent and its global visibility.

The platform’s website, genspain.com, is now online with information about the designers as well as the joint initiatives that will chart their course.
