ACROMATYX wins the Guest Country Award at the FTA 2024 Awards ceremony on October 25th held in Marrakech. A prized recognition for the fashion firm which is characterised by its defence of artisanal tailoring adapted to new times.

Furthermore to the global projection entailed, as well as access to retail sales that this outstanding award ensures, the fashion brand will receive US$80,000 towards its development, a one-year mentorship with The Bicester Collection, another with the ethical luxury fashion sales platform Maison De Mode as well as personalised training during two days in London organised in partnership with the British Fashion Council, Brand x Society and The Bicester Collection.

“We are deeply grateful to the jury of FTA 24 for awarding us the Guest Country Prize in this edition, to Head Group, to the organisation and to all our fellow travellers for their great support. It means a lot to us because it will help us launch ACROMATYX internationally, a goal that we had set, which is now becoming a reality. Additionally, we want to dedicate this award to all the people who believe in our fashion project and who encourage and help us every day to build up and move forward,” comment Franx de Cristal and Xavi García, creative directors of ACROMATYX.

“We share ACROMATYX’s joy for this well-deserved recognition of their extensive career in avant-garde design. With this award, the global projection of their brand, and that of Spanish fashion as a whole is reaffirmed. The firm is the best ambassador of our traditions, of the work carried out by our artisans. It is a unique opportunity,” adds Pepa Bueno, executive director of ACME. The Association collaborates with the organisation of the FTA in broadcasting the event in Spain.

Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) is a pioneering non-profit organisation in the Arab world focused on supporting and advising emerging fashion designers from the Middle East and North Africa to ensure their growth and boost their internationalisation. Their annual awards were launched in 2018, and in this edition, held for the first time in Marrakech, Spain was the guest country thanks to the alliance between FTA and the agency Head Group. The Guest Country category was added to the list of winners in 2021 in order to encourage the exchange of knowledge and dialogue between cultures.

Franx de Cristal and Xavi García were accompanied by Juan Vidal, Leandro Cano and Ernesto Naranjo, designers selected by FTA as finalists for the competition. The four fashion firms, associates of ACME, represented Spanish talent at the event.
