Karolina Kurkova, Czech supermodel, is the face of the new edition of Gran Canaria Swim Week by Moda Cálida, which takes place from October 22nd to 25th. With this action, the runway show, which is sponsored by the Gran Canaria Island Council, reinforces its international presence and its commitment to creative and sustainable swimwear.

The 17th edition of the event brings together 44 designers and brands from the Canary Islands, the Iberian Peninsula, and other countries, thus consolidating its position as the largest European showcase for the swimwear sector. The inauguration will take place at the Pasito Blanco Marina, followed by Expomeloneras, in the heart of Maspalomas.

The presence of Kurkova, a global fashion icon as well as an advocate for sustainability, symbolizes the platform's evolution combining industry, local talent, and the island's identity. “Gran Canaria Swim Week is today an international benchmark due to its creative level and its consistent alignment with the island's values,” emphasized Antonio Morales, president of the Island Council, during the presentation.

The event is being held at a time of expansion for Gran Canaria Moda Cálida; a public program that promotes economic development and the international projection of the island's fashion. In the latest edition, the runway generated an estimated impact of over six million euros and expanded the visibility of participating brands in European and Latin American markets.

Starring Karolina Kurkova, and with an increasingly diverse and responsible vision, Gran Canaria Swim Week 2025 reaffirms its role as a bridge between the Canarian Island's talent and international fashion.
