Fashion Campus celebrates its 1st edition

14/07/2016

Classes’ kick-off at the Francisco de Vitoria University which hosts the 1st edition of Fashion Campus, an exclusive specialized pre-university course for young people in which 32 students participate.

Fashion Campus consists of three modules designed to provide an overview of fashion to the student. On the one hand it has the presence of designers such as Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Victorio & Lucchino, Roberto Torretta, Maya Hansen, María Barros, Devota & Lomba, Juanjo Oliva and Juan Duyos, who share with the students their experience in the world of design, and with the participation of a group of young journalists, real influencers in social networks and the digital world such as Luceral, Arantxa Sanchez and Carlos Arnelas.

The second module, coordinated by Corporate Managing Director of Grupo Cortefiel, Ignacio Sierra, brings the fashion industry up front to the students. A space to address issues such as branding and product marketing, licensing, distribution, retail or communication.

The Campus has the participation of many professionals from the sector such as Pepa Bueno, Executive Director of ACME, who shares with the students how a trade association in the fashion world works, and with Tamara Alcalde, Communications Officer of the Association, who will be in charge of talking to the participants of this first edition about the young Spanish designers who begin to break into the industry.

Students will also receive introductory classes in technical workshop design, illustration, draping and styling. Works that will be showcased during a fashion show on July 16th and will serve as the finishing touch to this new initiative.
