Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada presented ÉVORA LUZ, an exhibit held at the Palace of the Dukes of Cadaval, in the heart of the Portuguese city’s historic center, that showcases her most representative creations curated.
The exhibition, open to the public from January 10th to March 8th, proposes a journey through over four decades of her work, marked by the fusion of fashion and contemporary art. Curated by the Duchess of Cadaval, ÉVORA LUZ is conceived as a gesture of visual optimism: color, free forms, and a vision that understands design as a cultural language.
Fifteen most emblematic pieces, selected from among the fashion designer’s career, are displayed in the palace’s halls. These garments embody a style, which emerged in the 1980s linked to La Movida and broadcasted internationally, with a presence in more than one hundred countries and an extensive activity in the lifestyle sector.
The opening was attended by the designer, who also signed copies of her book, My Story, a personal and professional account that reflects the exhibition’s spirit. This event reinforces the dialogue between creation, heritage, and contemporary art, in a setting where fashion is presented as a living cultural expression.
