Daniel Chong and the importance of loving yourslef in “Mirror, Mirror”

Daniel Chong presents at Madrid es Moda his new capsule collection, “Mirror, Mirror”.

The fashion show was held in the hidden room of Palacio Fernán Núñez, where Chong’s proposals are reflected in garments for all seasons, highlighting the use of sustainable materials and the Made in Spain seal.

The collection is presented as a journey in which the garments reflect the fragility of human beings and their dreams, as well as a rebellion against the unattainable standards of behaviour in today’s society. It is a critique of these unlimited demands and a vindication of diversity, the importance of loving oneself, and the need to take care of one’s mental health.

The designer includes coats, jackets, dresses, skirts, and trousers made of boiled wool, recycled cotton, knitwear, and metallic fabrics, presented in XL silhouettes and geometric patterns with a mix of plain and print garments, combining different textures such as quilting and original drawings. The chromatic range transits from raw and gray colors to neon and metallic hues.

Daniel Chong y la importancia de quererse en “Mirror, mirror”

Daniel Chong presenta en Madrid es Moda su nueva colección cápsula “Mirror, mirror”.
En un desfile en la sala oculta del Palacio Fernán Núñez, la propuesta de Chong es un reflejo de prendas para todas las temporadas poniendo en valor el uso de materiales sostenibles y el Made in Spain.

La colección se presenta como un viaje en el que las prendas muestran la fragilidad del ser humano, sus sueños y una rebeldía frente a los estándares de comportamiento inalcanzables de la sociedad actual. Una crítica contra esa exigencia ilimitada y una reivindicación de la diversidad, la importancia de quererse y la necesidad de cuidar la salud mental.

El diseñador incluye abrigos, chaquetas, vestidos, faldas y pantalones confeccionados en lana cocida, algodón reciclado, punto y tejidos metalizados, presentados en siluetas XL y patrones geométricos. Con una mezcla de prendas lisas y estampadas, que combinan diferentes texturas como acolchados y dibujos originales, la gama cromática transita desde los colores crudos y grises hasta neones y metalizados.
