Jorge Acuña, new Associate of ACME

The Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España extends its listing of associates with the addition of Jorge Acuña. With his arrival, there are already 53 members of ACME, an organization in constant growth that reaffirms its commitment with the young talents of Spanish design.

Jorge Acuña began his career in the world of fashion after acquiring intensive training in design and the Fine Arts. Holding a Degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the Complutense University of Madrid, he achieved the Creativity Award, granted by the University and the agency McCann-Erikson. After a period as an advertising creative in said agency, he focused on the world of fashion, passing through very relevant labels in the national scene such as Sybilla, Juanjo Oliva and Carmen March.

The experience gained in the ateliers of these creators encouraged him to establish his own signature label in 2007. Just a year later he opened his own space in Madrid (Calle Almirante, 11), an atelier that he defines as "a laboratory of ideas arisen from the communication between the designer and the client. "

Jorge Acuña has presented his collections on runways such as MFShow and has been a finalist in the awards Vogue Who's on Next twice. His work is characterized by personalized attention and meticulous couture made-to-measure, values that have made him one of the most recognized young labels.

For the Galician designer "it is very exciting being part of a such great platform as ACME, where important national designers work with the common aim of representing the interests of the Spanish fashion industry. Therefore, I face the incorporation of my label very gratefully and really thrilled”.[:]
