The MADRID ES MODA window shop contest has arrived

23/12/2016

What is a festival without its awards?, we ask ourselves in MADRID ES MODA. That’s why we set to work out and organize the 1st MADRID ES MODA Window shop Contest. An initiative that we premiere during the 4th edition of the urban fashion festival, from February 13th to 21st, with the aim of ‘dressing up’ the capital with design and creativity during its Fashion Week.

“The special window shops has been one of the pillars upon which we have built MADRID ES MODA,” explains Pepa Bueno, Executive Director of the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), “a venture we wish to bestow with projection and value through this contest. ”

For this, we counted with the invaluable support of the Community of Madrid, the Madrid City Council and Madrid Fashion Capital; and the collaboration of ModaEspaña, Acotex, Asecom, Superior Centre of Fashion Design of Madrid, Istituto Europeo di Design Madrid, University School of Design, Innovation and Technology, Marcelo Vilá, Canal DeCasa.

Together we have defined two categories: Best Window Shop, made by professionals linked to each participating establishment, and Best Novel Window Shop, created in collaboration with design students from official design studio centres of Madrid.
