Netflix Connects Its Universe with Spanish Designer Fashion

20/03/2026

The National Museum of Romanticism added three designs by Palomo Spain, Ana Locking, and María Escoté in the exhibit Echoes of Romantic Fashion, inspired by Bridgerton, and open since March 4th in Madrid.

The inclusion of these pieces introduces a point of intersection between the audiovisual industry and contemporary fashion creation, placing Spanish designers within a global narrative driven by Netflix’s reach.

The three looks are part of a series of nine designs developed from Bridgeton’s’ imagery, where each designer translates their own style to a shared code. This approach shifts the usual relationship between clothing and fashion, inviting designer firms to directly engage with a narrative universe with global appeal.

In the exhibition space, the pieces engage in dialogue with historical figures such as Cristóbal Balenciaga and Manuel Pertegaz, creating a continuity between different generations of Spanish fashion. The presence of these contemporary designers within this context reinforces their interpretation not only from a professional standpoint but also from their integration into broader cultural circuits.

The project also activates a specific avenue for visibility: entertainment as a platform for broadcasting. The series, which has become a global phenomenon, conveys aesthetic references that finds a material expression through Spanish authorship.
