Serreria Belga hosted the presentation of “Soglia“, Luis Berrendero’s capsule collection, presented at OMODA Madrid es Moda by way of a static installation. Inspired by Pierrot and Harlequin, figures from the Italian Commedia dell’Arte, the collection occupies an emotional territory where that which is visible and what is hidden, restraint and impulse, coexist. The moon appears as a symbol of introspection and time in suspension.
Here, the collection is conceived almost as a stage set. Black and white organize the space, while red introduces tension and rhythm. Stripes and references to the circus permeate the collection, drawing the eye toward a theatrical imagery.
The wardrobe is built upon this atmosphere. Silk cady in black and cream upholds precise tailoring, while crêpe de chine, crepe, and silk chiffon provide lightness, movement. A swirling diamond pattern adds dynamism to some pieces, while taffeta adds volume. Some of the fabrics come from vintage remnants recovered by the fashion designer himself. “Soglia” remains in that intermediate space where theatrical gesture becomes intimate.
