“Iris” by Odette Álvarez, strength and resilence

24/02/2025

IRIS FALL 2026”, the collection by Odette Álvarez, presented at MBFWM is inspired by concepts of hope, resilience and inner strength, symbols of the iris, a flower that emerges in the midst of adversity. With this idea in mind, the fashion designer integrates colors, fabrics and materials in a collection that reflects the duality between external stillness and internal resurgence.

The fashion proposal combines delicate materials such as satin crepe, silk tulle and mohair wool with more robust ones such as leather, technical gabardine, lamb and goat fleece, suede and pinstripe cloth.

True to her style, Odette Álvarez adds sparkle with rhinestones, sequins and rich beaded details, as well as artisanal painting techniques on leather, with the iris being the central motif. The collection’s color palette is characterised by warm and enveloping tones, such as iris blue, mustard, burgundy, brown, black and green.

Odette Álvarez creates with this collection a perfect synergy between that which is natural and modernity, warmth and protectiveness, through the reflection of the materials inherent strength and the subtlety of color and texture.
