Many well-known faces of Spanish fashion joined director of TVE program Flash Moda, Jesús María Montes-Fernández, in the tribute that Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid and the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España offered him to mark his 25 years in the world of fashion and for his constant support to designers and fashion companies in our country.
The event, which took place in the IFEMA Kissing Room, the stage of the fashion shows in Madrid, brought together a large number of designers who wished to continue supporting their friend during such a special and emotional moment. ACME’s president, Modesto Lomba, and the director of the MBFWM, Charo Izquierdo, addressed a few words of affection and admiration, highlighting his great professionalism, his impeccable career and his great contribution to the world of fashion.
Jesús María Montes-Fernández has been a visionary regarding the world of fashion and television. He was a pioneer in introducing this universe to the small screen when no generalist media echoed one of the leading industries that generates wealth and jobs in Spain. It started almost by chance, without a sponsor and now celebrates more than two decades in the profession, thanks to the passion for a job well done and his tenacity.
This recognition by the people with whom he has worked throughout his life, fills him with pride and satisfaction. In his speech he stressed how important it was for him to receive this tribute after a long professional career in which there has only been effort, honesty and work. “A lot of work and sometimes a lot of stress”. Therefore, his goal from now on is to be happy and try to live a more tranquil life, although he will continue to head up the TVE program Flash Moda, a reference of national television that has already completed 6 years and 600 programs thanks to the passion and enthusiasm with which it is made and the great team of people behind it.
