The Generalitat Valenciana grants Isabel Sanchis the Isabel Ferrer Award

18/03/2024

The Isabel Ferrer Awards were created in Spain by the Valencian Government in February 1999 with the aim of “publicly acknowledging and distinguishing those people and entities, whom, from a personal, professional, social, institutional or cultural level, have stood out for breaking social and cultural prejudices that prevent women from being equal to men, or that have stood out for their work towards equality between women and men.”

The name of the Awards was established in honor of Isabel Ferrer Giner, an 18th century noblewoman from Castellón, whom contributed to the access and the promotion of education for girls in a completely free center.

Isabel Sanchis is a clear example of an advanced woman of her time. A mother of four children, in addition to taking care of her family, she always wished to work to make her dream of designing and creating her own fashion brand become true.
