Leyre Valiente joins ACME

The Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España enlarges its associate listing with the incorporation of designer Leyre Valiente. With her entry, ACME is now comprised of 51 fashion brands and reaffirms its commitment to the emerging talents of Spanish design and the young brands that begin to break into global markets.

Leyre Valiente launched her career in the fashion world when she completed her degree in Media Studies. After working in the costume and art departments of various audio-visual productions she began studying Fashion Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid. Her final project in this college received a honourable mention in 2011, the year in which she was included inVogue Italy’s supplement Talents as one of the 180 emerging talents of European fashion.

After working with brands such as Alexander McQueen and Loewe, Leyre Valiente founded her own label and showed her creations in international runways such as Berlin, Amsterdam or Ljubljana Month of Design (Slovenia). In 2014 she debuted in the official calendar of Mercedes- Benz Fashion Week Madrid.

The designer, who just opened her first boutique in Madrid (Gonzalo de Córdoba, 7), is currently working in collaboration with the video game “The Sims” as well as designing the uniforms for movie theatres Callao City Lights.

Her next collection will be released in May in Poland, where she will travel to showcase her proposals for next fall-winter as a guest designer of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Warsaw.
