Beatriz Peñalver inaugurates the 67th edition of MBFWM
The designer from Granada, Beatriz Peñalver gives the starting signal to the new edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Her fashion show, encased in the off schedule, was held in the emblematic Rastro de Madrid, taking the stage at the Singular Market space, a spectacular vintage furniture store.
Her collection for the next Fall-Winter 2018/2019 is titled Old Stories. In it, the creator looks back on her past path and dives into her archive with a certain aura of nostalgia. Peñalver reviews her most emblematic patterns giving them a new life and adapting them to new trends. The designer pays homage to all the clients who have placed their bet on her from the beginning, an authentic Legion of Peñalver women, who like the creator herself, are fighters, dreamers and whom radiate self-confidence.
A contained palette of colour with brown and black as a base, mixed with reds and metallic tones. The technical fabrics are the key of her proposal, adorned with small details of applications and trimmings of aged wood.

Moisés Nieto, a fashion show in the Botanical Garden
Designer MOISÉS NIETO is in charge of opening the fashion show schedule off Mercedes-Benz Fa Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid for the ACME designers.
The creator from Jaen presents a collection inspired by Picasso's lovers and muses at the Botanical Garden of Madrid. The creations of MOISÉS NIETO for Spring-Summer 2018 are a metaphor for the chaotic sentimental history of the Malaga artist, recreating through shapes, details and fabrics, the character of the main women who passed through his life.
Long summers in the Mediterranean and a colour palette inspired by the work "Woman with book", are the thread of a collection rich in contrasts in which pleats and textured fabrics are the protagonists.
Hyper feminine silhouettes, which adapt to the body with fabrics such as silk, are showcased opposed to proposals of complex patterns with shapes inspired by Cubism, but in which there is also room for flirtatious and innocent details such as bows.
