The Isabel Sanchís firm presented the Fall/Winter 26/27 collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid as an exercise in crossroads. The collection starts with the study of traditional fabrics, stretching them to create new forms of friction.
This approach translates into unusual combinations, which together with the layering of different styles alters the silhouette: garments with a cleaner base upon which structured layers are built, and couture pieces that burst forth over more restrained volumes. The palette concentrates in burgundy and gray, with black as the anchor that organizes the whole. Technical innovation appears in integrating lighting into pieces, conceived as part of the design: flowers that incorporate light and, in some cases, a complete dress that assimilates it into its structure. Technology, craftsmanship, and couture come together on the same plane.
Here, light does not act as a theatrical effect, but as a new layer of the body’s construction.
