The Bureau of Spanish fashion is established

The Ministries of Industry, Energy and Tourism, of Economy and Competitiveness and of Education, Culture and Sport, together with key players in the sectors of design, manufacturers and retailers of fashion, constitute the Bureau of Spanish Fashion, created to take advantage of the importance and potential of the sector and boost its image globally. An approach between all actors implied seeking new possibilities of collaboration between fashion design and the manufacturing industry.

At the constitution event, the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism was represented by the Secretary General of Industry, Small and Medium Enterprises, Luis Valero. On behalf of the associations of the sector present were the Asociación Creadores de Moda de España (ACME) and the Federación Española de Empresas de la Confección FEDECON – MODA ESPAÑA. The retail groups were represented by, Grupo Cortefiel, Inditex and Ceslar Corporation, a shareholder of El Corte Inglés. The Bureau is open to new players to help achieve its goals, thus companies like Pronovias and Mango have already expressed their desire to become members.

Also present was the National Innovation Company, ENISA, attached to the General Direction of Industry, Small and Medium Enterprises, and oriented to financing entrepreneurs and SMEs.[:]
