The Fundación de la Academia de la Moda is presented

The Museo del Traje in Madrid, hosted the presentation of the Fundación de la Academia de la Moda (FAME), an organization created to boost the promotion and recognition of Spanish author fashion. Promoted mainly by the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), its objective is also to nurture the fashion sector’s future development.

This long-awaited launch to celebrate the creation of the Fundación de la Academia de la Moda, and explain its upcoming projects, was led by journalist and writer Ana García-Siñeriz, and was attended by Pilar Alegría Continente, Minister of Education and Professional Training, Adriana Moscoso del Prado, General Director of Cultural Industries, Intellectual Property and Cooperation, as well as Begoña Gómez, wife of the Spanish Government’s Prime Minister. It also brought together leading Spanish designers and firms, such as Xavi García and Franx de Cristal (Acromatyx), Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Beatriz Peñalver, Beatriz Claro (Claro Couture), Modesto Lomba (Devota&Lomba), Carlos Duarte (Duarte), Ernesto Naranjo, Manuel García Madrid (García Madrid), Helena Rohner, Juan Duyos, Juan Vidal, Juanjo Oliva, Leandro Cano, Juan Carlos Mesa (Maison Mesa), Juanjo Mánez and Paloma Álvarez (Malne), Manuel de Gotor, María Lafuente, Miguel Marinero, Moisés Nieto, Paul García (Oteyza), Sergio de Lázaro and Verónica Abián (Otrura), Paloma Suárez, Nacho Aguayo and Alex Miralles (Pedro del Hierro), Daniel Rabaneda, Héctor Jareño (Reliquiae), Teresa Helbig, Odette Álvarez ( Teté by Odette), Jorge García (The Extreme Collection) and Ulises Mérida, among others.

A large number of guests did not wish to miss this event, among them, influencers Pelayo Díaz, Marco Llorente and Josie, as well as some of the creators’ muses: Blanca Li accompanied Juanjo Oliva, Laura Ponte with Acromatyx, model Carolina Verd with Ernesto Naranjo and Juncal Rivero with Modesto Lomba.

Pedro del Hierro, which has become the Foundation’s first benefactor firm by supporting its launch, dressed some of the guests, such as the host of the event, Ana García Siñeriz, Minister Pilar Alegría and writer Alejandra Remón.

Additionally, fashion designer Carolina Herrera supported the Fundación de la Academia de la Moda’s first steps through a letter that was read during the event: “As an honorary member of the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España, I wish you good luck in this new project, which was created with such a necessary purpose as that of showcasing and broadcasting the excellence of Spanish fashion, so that everyone can admire it as it deserves”.

An exclusive performance by Russian Red closed the event. Dressed by Teresa Helbig, Lourdes Hernández covered some themes from movie soundtracks that have been emblematic for the fashion world as a finishing touch to the event.
