After participating for three seasons in the EGO platform of Madrid Fashion Week, María Escoté was selected by Mercedes-Benz and Luisa Via Roma as the most outstanding fashion designer of Madrid's Fashion Week in 2012. That same year she was invited to form part, along with five other designers selected all from the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weeks around the world, to participate in the Firenze4Ever festival.
María Escoté is committed to the digital market and has her own online store since 2010. With a clear global vocation, her designs enjoy great reception among Asian celebrities. In September 2013, and after presenting a fashion show for the first time in Beijing, María Escoté inaugurated her line of children's clothing "María Kids by María Escoté".[:]
