The feminine seams of Spanish fashion

The exhibit “The feminine seams of Spanish fashion (1930-2018)”, is an idea from EFE Agency and the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME), produced jointly with the National Museum of Decorative Arts, the exhibit combines photojournalism, fashion and woman through eighty photographs, taken over nine decades by EFE’s photographers, the number one Spanish news agency, and fourth in the world, that dialogue with garments and jewellery from twenty-seven Spanish fashion creators.

EFE’s photographic collections (twelve million photographs in the historical archive and eight million in digital records) from glass plates, negatives or slides, showcase Spanish fashion from different periods, captured instantly and without artifice according to photojournalistic tempo and gaze, through models, artists or personalities from different fields who dressed the feminine revolution.

This exhibition reflects the evolution of Spanish women from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day through photographs, pieces of clothing and accessories, sculpting the female figure’s personality over time through the talent of Spanish designers.

The exhibit will be open to the public from January 23rd to March 31st, 2019.[:]
