The Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España (ACME) has welcomed Edward Cuming as a new member. The Madrid-based designer joins the Association after winning the latest edition of Vogue Fashion Fund, an initiative launched by Vogue Spain in collaboration with Inditex, which includes an ACME membership for the winner.
“Being part of ACME is an honor. As a designer from abroad, with a company based in Madrid, I greatly value being connected with the talent in my adopted country,” stated Edward Cuming.
“The Vogue Fashion Fund allows us to identify and support careers developing in Spain. Edward Cuming joining ACME is part of this shared work with Vogue Spain,” added Pepa Bueno, ACME’s executive director.
Joining the Association places Cuming in a professional environment linked to author fashion, where designers and brands collaborate to develop their projects with production in proximity and long-term durability. Joining ACME is a part of the prize, which also includes €100,000 gross together with editorial support from Vogue Spain.
Edward Cuming is the creative director of his eponymous label, founded in Spain in 2019 after completing his MA in Fashion at Central Saint Martins. His work is based on experimentation with materials and a sensory approach to design. His collections feature fluid silhouettes, subtle asymmetrical compositions, and a use of color that permeates every piece.
