The Community of Madrid has honored Félix Ramiro with the 2026 Culture Award in the Fashion category, within the XXIV edition of these accolades. The jury thus acknowledged the designer and tailor’s career spanning over 35 years; he is a leading figure in Spanish menswear with his own brand and atelier in Menasalbas (Toledo).
The award ceremony took place on September 21st at the Sala Roja of the Teatros del Canal, presided over by the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, alongside the Regional Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Sport, Mariano de Paco Serrano. Ramiro shared this year’s honors with fifteen other recipients across various categories, including José Sacristán, Jaime Urrutia, Luis Cobos, África Guzmán, Jordi Socías, and Rafael Ansón.
Founded in 1988, the firm maintains a working method rooted in hand-drafted patterns, fabric selection, and traditional tailoring craftsmanship. Its atelier is located in Menasalbas—the designer’s hometown—where both design and production take place under one roof. Some team members have been with the company between 25 and 40 years.
“It is a recognition; it is like a gift,” Ramiro remarked after receiving the award.
