ACME incorporates five new brands: TCN, one of the most relevant brands in the sector; young creator Beatriz Peñalver; long-time designers such as Pilar Dalbat and María Lafuente, and one of the revelation brands of Spanish men’s fashion, Oteyza.

With the arrival of these new brands, the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España demonstrates a commitment to growth in order to represent the sector, grouping under its acronym at this moment 61 associates, among which are the main companies of Spanish fashion design.

TCN, one of the brands of reference of our country, was established in Barcelona in 1986, the imaginary fruit of designer Totón Comella. The Spanish brand began specializing in swimwear and lingerie, and over the years has incorporated into their collections prêt-à-porter lines and accessories.

Currently, it counts with the creative direction of designer Asier Tapia, who continues developing creations under the maxims of comfort, quality and design, signs of identity of TCN. The brand has an online store, seven flagship stores in Spain and its collections are present in more than one hundred multi-brand stores within and outside our country.

Beatriz Peñalver, one of the young promises of Spanish fashion, decided to change direction and launched into design from the world of finance. Graduated in Business Administration and Management, the Granada designer created her own brand in 2012 and since then has participated in the EGO platforms of MBFWM and MFShow, as well as international trade shows such as the Zip Zone Salon in Paris, and has been a finalist of The Vogue Who’s on Next awards in 2017. Her collections can be purchased in their online store as well as in their boutique in Granada and several outlets in Spain as well as globally, including Panama and Kuwait.

Pilar Dalbat worked as a buyer of collections in Paris in the 90s, which prompted her to create her own brand in 2000. From Granada she creates and distributes her collections locally and globally with a clear commitment to Made in Spain. It is in the Andalusian city where she has her flagship store. Her creations have been through relevant outlets such as Baycrews (Tokyo), Bloomingdales (Dubai) or Harvey Nichols (Saudi Arabia). Furthermore, Dalbat assiduously collaborates with visual artists and participates as a teacher in art schools and fashion schools in our country.

María Lafuente, is a professional with a long history in the sector, she combines the creation of her collections with collaborations for movie wardrobe costumes and design of uniformities, such as the Spanish delegation of the Spanish Olympic Committee Madrid 2020. The designer studied design, styling and fashion in The Masani Fashion Institute of León. Later, she moved to Paris to continue training, completing her studies at the ISEM Fashion Business School in Madrid. Cities like Warsaw, Montevideo, Bucharest or Tokyo have seen her designs showcased, and she is also a regular feature in the MBFWM Off schedule.

Oteyza, a men’s fashion brand with the creative direction of Paul Garcia de Oteyza and Caterina Pañeda, is one of the star brands of Pitti Uomo, the most important men’s fashion trade show in the sector. This trade show has rewarded their creativity in three consecutive editions. In 2015 and 2016 the brand was selected to open the trade show, becoming the first Spanish brand chosen for this. In its five years history, their prêt-à-porter collections, with a marked Spanish character, have gained fans in the United States, Australia, China, Germany, Italy and Brazil, among other countries. Additionally, Oteyza has its own store in Madrid, located in Conde de Xiquena nº 11.[:]
