Body, Matter, Process: SKFK in Continuous Contact

15/04/2026

Fashion firm SKFK, under the creative direction of Maia Curutchet, presented at 080 Barcelona Fashion the Fall/Winter 26/27 collection, LOTURA, which places the body at the heart of design presenting the garment as a meeting point between matter, process, and environment.

The collection is structured around the idea of connection, understood as an active relationship between that which is natural and the industrial, between the artisanal and the technological. This approach translates into work that values a shared process, incorporating collaborations with artists, designers, and biomaterials researchers as part of the development of the pieces themselves. Maia Curutchet’s vision organizes this system from the process, where trial, time, and the material’s behavior are integral to the final result.

On the runway, this interpretation is embodied in silhouettes that alternate structure and fluidity, creating a balance that accompanies the body’s movement. Volume is explored through construction, while color organizes the collection through blocks, monochrome palettes, and clean surfaces reinforcing the presence of texture.

Materials shape the narrative: wood, ceramics, and biomaterials coexist with industrial techniques, resulting in pieces with a strong tactile dimension. Braided bustiers, plates applied to garments and accessories. Organic threads derived from algae introduce new forms of volume and surface. Accessories—made of ceramic or in the form of reinterpreted headpieces—expand this logic, adding a more sculptural dimension to the whole.

LOTURA unfolds as a system where matter gains importance and presence on the body.
