Publishing house Turner brings out a tribute book to the 20 years of trajectory of jewel designer Helena Rohner, one of the Spanish creators with greatest international projection.
With texts by journalist Montserrat Domínguez and images by photographers such as Gorka Postigo, Antón Goiri and Javier Biosca, among others, this book takes a tour of Helena Rohner’s 20 years in the world of design through a selection of emblematic pieces that emphasize the craftsmanship, the nobility of the materials and the sober and minimalist design characteristic of the Canary designer.
Her jewels, elegant and timeless, combine silver and gold with surprising materials as such as porcelain, wood, semiprecious stones and even Murano glass. The uniqueness of her work has conquered customers and stores around the world such as Tomorrowland in Tokyo, Paul Smith in London, Les Precieuses in Brussels or Lala in Berlin. Also, it holds agreements with museums such as the Tate Modern and the Victoria & Albert in London, the Guggenheim in Bilbao or the Thyssen in Madrid.
But the world of Helena Rohner goes beyond the world of jewellery, also creating original tableware, lamps, vases and tea sets for prestigious global companies such as George Jensen, Kahler, Bodum and Munio. A brilliant career that has been recognized with numerous awards such as the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts and the IED Design Award, among others.
