OMODA Madrid es Moda inaugurated its new edition with a collective fashion show in Madrid’s Plaza de España, marking the start of the city’s Fashion Week. The runway brought together 25 Spanish author fashion designers in an urban setting placing contemporary creation at the heart of a public space.
Between Torre de Madrid and Edificio España, with a fountain dedicated to Miguel de Cervantes as a backdrop, the plaza transformed into an open-air runway. The fashion show brought together designs from Adlib Ibiza, Candelas y Felipa, Daniel Chong, Devota & Lomba, Dominnico, Duyos, E.R.A.X., Eduardo Navarrete, Evade House, Félix Ramiro, García Madrid, It-Spain, Javier Delafuente, Juana Martín, Luis Berrendero, Luis Infantes, Miguel Marinero, Mirto, Peñalver Brand, Paloma Suárez, Pilar Dalbat, Roberto Torretta, Roberto Verino, The Extreme Collection, and WE ARE SPASTOR.
Forty models walked the plaza, showcasing a pan view of contemporary Spanish designer fashion. The runway acted as a collective gesture, connecting design and craft with the city in one single journey. Thus, designer fashion opens itself up to the city’s rhythm.
