Juan Avellaneda x See Iou, presented the Fall/Winter 2026/27 collection The New Classics under the creative direction of Juan Avellaneda at OMODA Madrid es Moda. The static presentation took tailoring, one of the house’s essential codes, and translated it from men’s wear to contemporary women’s wear.
The New Classics draws inspiration from the classic suit and men’s wear to create a wardrobe designed for today’s woman. Tailoring provides the starting point: its rigorous construction and precise lines open up to a sophisticated and versatile wardrobe that transcends single occasions.
Structured silhouettes and carefully considered proportions coexist with garments with a more relaxed drape, prints, and textures. Pattern-making employs precise lines and panels that follow and construct the female silhouette, where technique becomes an essential part of the design.
Of the over forty looks that make up the collection, the presentation features twelve, selected to explore the construction, fabrics, finishes, and details that ultimately define each garment. Juan Avellaneda was present to share the key elements of The New Classics and offer insight into the creative process behind the collection.
The New Classics embraces the codes of menswear tailoring and seamlessly integrates them into a contemporary women’s wardrobe.
