Almería’s Provincial Council’s promotional brand featured a special program at SIMA 41, with the first edition of its fashion awards and runway shows in iconic locations throughout the city, bringing together designers, local brands, and creators with ties to the province in Almería as part of the 25th edition of the International Fashion Week in Andalusia, SIMA 41, held from May 28th to 30th.
One of the highlights of the program was the presentation of the first edition of the Almería Fashion Talent Awards, held at the Museum of Contemporary Spanish Realism (MUREC). The gala was presided over by the President of Almería’s Provincial Council, José Antonio García Alcaina, and was created to acknowledge the creativity, career achievements, and future potential of Almería fashion professionals.
MUREC also hosted a collective fashion show featuring designs by Blam Atelier, Kylesho, and María Giménez, with the attendance of the Deputy for Tourism, María José Herrada, and the Delegate for Justice of the Andalusian Regional Government, Rebeca Gómez.
The program took place in various locations throughout the city. At the Cable Inglés, a former mineral loading dock overlooking the Mediterranean, Seville-based designer Nicolás Montenegro presented his fashion show. The Plaza de la Constitución hosted the Almería Talent Fashion Show, an open runway event for the public featuring collections by Loreto Martínez, Daniel Cerdán, María Barragán, and Susana Lirola.
Almería Talent is one of ACME’s institutional partners and works to promote fashion, designers, and brands linked to the province of Almería.
