The Spanish representation in Fashion Week in New York has left no one indifferent. The label DelPozo has again left an imprint in the New York runway with the spring / summer 2016 collection, a proposal full of fantasy and delicacy.
Josep Font, Creative Director of the brand, reinvents the female silhouette. The Catalan designer takes inspiration from the strong, bold and passionate women that the great poet Federico García Lorca defined in his Romancero Gitano and from Emilie Flöge, the young lover and muse of Gustav Klimt, remembered for her bohemian ease and relaxed silhouettes in times when the corset was still the order of the day.
The proposal of DelPozo for next spring centres on colourful prints, delicate fringes, ruffles of various sizes and organic volumes. Tailoring, proportion, textures and details such as flowers in hand-woven raffia, demonstrate the acknowledged artisan tradition of the atelier DelPozo. Natural fabrics such as linen, poplin and chiffon mixed with fluorescent jacquards, lurex organza, brocade cotton, holographic motifs, sequins, beads and feathers. All presented in a wide palette of colours, where predominant are emerald green, strawberry pink, black and golden details
Furthermore, the brand presented during the fashion show in NYFW a complete collection of accessories and an extension of the supply of footwear by the brand. As a novelty during the fashion show Josep Font revealed the Doctor handbag by DelPozo along with satchel style handbags adorned with rich floral embroidery.
