Designer label Delpozo presents the new collection with a fashion show at New York Fashion Week. The creative director of the house, Josep Font, invites us on a journey into the light, drawing as a source of inspiration from the work of Joaquín Sorolla and the light installations of visual artist Soo Sunny Park.
Fresh and light textures wrap around the female silhouette in the spring / summer 2017 collection by Delpozo. As if it were an impressionist work, the garments by the label, when appreciated closely, reveal delicate folds and flounces made in a relevant demonstration of the know-how of the Spanish house.
The whites contrast with bright prints, created exclusively for the house in summery shades such as lemon, lilac and apple green, fused with orange and fuchsia. A starring role is given to the “blue Sorolla”, a colour inspired by painter’s interpretation of the seaside, designed in the atelier Delpozo.
Voluminous skirts that part from the hip, sleeves with a calla flower structure, embroidered fans along the knit, handmade crochet finished with organza bows and blouses with printed scarves make up a contemporary and modern proposal for next season.
