Daniel Chong’s proposal for his Spring/Summer 2026 fashion collection, “The Working Class“, looks to the trades that sustain daily life and the hands that anonymously build the city. From his base in Lavapiés, the brand translates this direct observation of the street into a collection that understands work as an identity as well as an everyday gesture.
In this collection presented at OMODA Madrid es Moda, inspiration arises from the world of uniforms, tools, and functional materials, translated into ready-to-wear language. The collection features forty looks for men, women, and unisex pieces that consolidates the brand’s textile line beyond its accessories. Recycled cotton knitwear, technical fabrics, and upcycled pieces, made from restocks, form the material foundation of the fashion show. Over this structure silhouettes appear, either plain or adorned with the house’s signature checks. Color acts as a defining element. Orange, green, yellow, and fuchsia permeate the collection, displacing the neutral palette that dominates the fashion industry, and becoming the house’s signature. The collection thus returns to the street from which it originated.
