Custo Barcelona presented the Fall/Winter 26/27 collection, “WE OWN THE LIGHT,” at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. The collection positions light as its creative axis and a declaration of identity. It understands brilliance as an inherent energy that translates into the body through attitude.
Custo treats light as a material. Architectural sensuality permeates the collection, built upon chromatic contrasts and experimental textures that play with transparency and opacity. This tension generates volume and defines silhouettes. The concept is showcased in plumetti tulle mini dresses with iridescent shimmers that evoke a moving sky, puff sleeves, and fluid draping that amplifies movement. These are complemented by dresses crafted from layers, lace, and handcrafted patchwork in a warm palette of ochre, pink, and gold, where geometry coexists with a more organic textile sensibility.
The fabrics filter, reflect, and absorb light in a continuous interplay that transforms every room into an active surface. The collection understands shimmer as a language and projects it outward.
