The firm, under the creative direction of Jaime Álvarez, presented the Fall/Winter 26/27 collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, a precise exercise where memory becomes structure. Mans takes the starting point from the connection between Van Gogh’s butterflies and the discipline of tailoring, and from there he constructs a collection that balances emotion and technique.
The butterfly functions as both symbol and method. The wings translate into clean cuts, lightly opening necklines, and volumes that suggest movement without losing control. The silhouette moves forward with confidence, featuring an architectural back that evokes Balenciaga’s sculptural heritage as well as the enveloping gesture of the Japanese obi. This construction is evident in defined shoulders and pieces that hug the torso before flowing freely.
The collection incorporates cotton from pharmacist’s coats, chosen in memory of his grandfather, which finds shape in garments with refined lines, where the material itself carries the narrative. Wool provides structure, cashmere softens volume, silk adds shine, and chiffon creates airy spaces. Weight and lightness coexist in the same pattern. Each look confirms a clear idea: tailoring can also be transformed without losing its essence.
