Couture España awards Ion Fiz and Elio Berhanyer

10/04/2019

Master Elio Berhanyer, who recently passed away, has received a heartfelt tribute at the Couture España Awards, which have been held at the beginning of a new edition of Madrid Bridal Week. Sociologist Pedro Mansilla, a person who has been very close to the creator from Cordoba throughout his professional career, was in charge of introducing said award during the ceremony, which was collected by his family in the presence of numerous friends and colleagues.

The Asociación Costura España also wished to acknowledge the work of another of our associated creators during Madrid Bridal Week’s take-off by bestowing Ion Fiz with the Couture España Award for Trajectory. The Basque designer began his career in the fashion world at an early age, and trained at the Basque Fashion School where he graduated with honours. With almost two decades of experience behind him, he has been through key ateliers such as Pertegaz, and with his homonymous brand he has showed in runways such as Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid and Paris Fashion Week.

In this edition of Madrid Bridal Week Ion Fiz will present his first collection totally dedicated to his bride together with a selection of his most iconic looks.
