The prêt-à-couture fashion label Delpozo and PhotoEspaña come together to present the exhibit “Swimming Pool” by Mária Švarbová, which may be visited until August 26th at its flagship store in Madrid, on Calle Lagasca 19.
It is the first time that Delpozo participates in the international festival PhotoEspaña, and does so with a series of photographs by Mária Švarbová, the Slovak artist who inspired the fashion brand’s creative director, Josep Font, in the design of the Spring-Summer 2018 collection.
Many well-known faces, such as influencers Maria Bernad, Miranda Makaroff, Lucía and Helena Cuesta, Claudia Osborne, Lulú Figueroa and Inés Ybarra, all dressed in the fashion label’s designs, attended the opening event.
Designer Jesús del Pozo founded Delpozo in 1974. After the creator’s demise in 2011, the Perfume and Design Group acquires the firm and appoints Josep Font as creative director. The designer, who has participated several seasons in Haute Couture Week in Paris, is in charge of directing the brand’s atelier and collections since 2012. Currently, Delpozo presents its creations at London Fashion Week.
