Custo Barcelona presents at New York Fashion Week “Way More” his spring / summer 2017 collection. After having held last February its 20th anniversary showing in the New York runway, the brand presents a proposal in tune with the philosophy “more is more” as an ensign: more elaborate garments sewn entirely by hand, more material wealth, more creativity and a more powerful and vivid silhouette.
The Catalan label places a wager with this collection for rich materials and artisan couture. Fabrics evade prints and weave dozens of coloured threads that create highly visual effects. Sequins, transparencies, glitter, metal applications, handmade embroidery, trimmings and fringes are the key in a proposal with renewed energy in which mini dresses accentuating the waist, bomber jackets and sweatshirts are the star garments.
Menswear creations by Custo Barcelona reflect the philosophy “Way More” in embroidered shirts, skinny jeans with details on the sides, sequined or velvet devoré T-shirts and trench coats in transparent materials.
The fashion show also featured the participation of two exceptional models, the daughter of the designer Custo Dalmau: Carlota, who has modelled for the signature label on multiple occasions, and Montana, who has premiered as a model on the runway of NYFW.
