Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid (MBFWM) will celebrate its 62nd edition from the 18th to the 22nd of September at IFEMA. For five days the hall 14.1 will become once again a key scenario for national fashion, gathering the best proposals of Spanish design, counting in its next edition with the participation of a total of 24 ACME designers between the official runway and off MBFWM.
Among the main novelties of this edition, in which the collections for spring-summer 2016 will be presented, highlighted is the incorporation into the general runway schedule of the label Maria Ke Fisherman, whose career in the fashion world began in the platform Ego of the fashion week in Madrid, where they participated in three editions. Manuel de Gotor is another new addition to the fashion week. The Basque designer, pioneer in our country in the creation of swimwear for men, returns to the runway with a fashion show off MBFWM.
Furthermore, the Asociación de Creadores de Moda de España will organize from the 18th to the 22nd of September “Madrid is Fashion”, a program of activities, with design and creation as the central theme, which will complement the MBFWM calendar. Exhibitions, discounts, special window shops, interventions in spaces and networking between fashion and gastronomy are some of the initiatives that will form part of this project, which aims to extend the spirit of the fashion week to the city centre.[:]
