Spanish Fashion in the Platinum Awards

01/08/2017

In its commitment to promote the visibility of Spanish fashion creation, ACME has collaborated closely in the organization of the IVth edition of the Premios Platino del Cine Ineroamericano – held in Madrid on July 16th  – in order to make this event a great runway of Spanish fashion. The spectacular gala, broadcasted by 17 TV networks and conducted by Spanish comedian Carlos Latre and Uruguayan actress and singer Natalia Oreiro, reached more than 80 million homes in 23 Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries.

Considered the “Oscars” of Ibero-American cinema, its red carpet became an extraordinary platform for broadcasting the work of our designers. The ceremony, where over 350 journalists from different nationalities were accredited, made evident the great moment that the Ibero-American film industry is enjoying and the immense media interest it arouses.

One of the favourite creators of the evening was Hannibal Laguna, who dressed Silvia Marsó, Nerea Garmendia, Martina García or Arlette Torres, among others. Rossy de Palma chose a model of Juanjo Oliva Couture, while actresses Liliana Moyano and Miranda Purcell opted for young designer Leyre Valiente.

As for the actors, the label Pedro del Hierro dressed Carlos Latre, Boris Izaguirre and Miguel Angel Silvestre, while Oscar Jaenada remained faithful to his designer of reference, Roberto Etxeberría.

These awards have, in just four years, become the most popular event of the 7th art in Spanish and Portuguese, and its award ceremony has allowed us to appreciate the talent of the great fashion designers of our country.[:]
