Ogadenia Couture and Emilio Almoguera, Shared Art

10/09/2026

Under the creative direction of Ogadenia Díaz, Ogadenia Couture has unveiled *Mi Musa*, a previously unseen collection developed in collaboration with artist Emilio Almoguera, at a static exhibition in space “The One” during OMODA Madrid es Moda’s event. This presentation is part of a collaboration between Gran Canaria Moda Cálida; Gran Canaria Island Council’s initiative to promote the island’s fashion sector, and ACME.

*Mi Musa* translates painting from the canvas to the dress. Almoguera embellishes the fabrics with landscapes, flowers, and natural motifs inspired by Gran Canaria’s rich scenery, while Ogadenia Díaz transforms these pictorial surfaces into structured garments designed for bodily movement by employing meticulous pattern-making and volume techniques.

The collection proposes a direct interaction between art and fashion: the artwork adapts to the anatomy, and the body transforms the painting, turning each garment into a work of art in motion. Rooted in cultural sustainability and the island’s origins, the firm champions authenticity, signature design, and the unique value of the garment as a new way of dressing in the twenty-first century.

The collaboration with Almoguera continues a recurring theme for Ogadenia Couture: a dialogue with other artists that forms part of the firm’s identity—a practice already evident in signature techniques such as *Calado de Ingenio* (traditional openwork embroidery).
