Ogadenia Couture presented on October 2nd, Mi Musa, its 2027 collection, at the fashion show that closed the twelfth edition of Colección Bridal. This bridal and formalwear runway is a part of Gran Canaria Moda Cálida’s initiatives and took place from September 30th to October 2nd at Hotel Santa Catalina in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The collection stems from a collaboration with painter Emilio Almoguera, with the dresses designed around his artwork.
The firm envisions the collection as a dialogue between painting and fashion: each piece interprets a painting by Almoguera, translating its colors and forms into fabric. Collaborating with artists is a hallmark of Ogadenia Díaz’s work, whom founded the brand in Gran Canaria 21 years ago; she has specialized in bridal, formal, and couture wear, incorporating the island’s traditional craftsmanship such as Calado de Ingenio (Ingenio openwork embroidery).
Colección Bridal, an initiative of Gran Canaria Island’s Council, and brought together for this edition twelve brands across nine fashion shows.
