Aurelia Gil presented on October 1st, CERO, her 2027 bridal collection, at the fashion show that closed the second day of the twelfth edition of Colección Bridal. This bridal and formalwear runway event, a part of Gran Canaria Moda Cálida, took place from September 30th to October 2nd at Hotel Santa Catalina in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The firm envisions the collection as a statement of principles: an immersion into its creative universe through the lens of the wedding dress.
Rather than simply responding to a specific season, CERO establishes a distinctive style and a unique approach to understanding and executing couture. Aurelia Gil’s brides are modern, favoring a style that is free and comfortable without renouncing a classic essence, an approach that, according to the firm, speaks “of fashion and craftsmanship rather than fleeting trends.”
This sense of freedom is reflected in the construction of the garments. The looks are transformative: they can be deconstructed throughout the celebration to transition into an evening look, featuring detachable trains and capes. The bustier takes center stage; appearing in both full dresses and two-piece ensembles, paired with fluid skirts made of layered silk or with short dresses.
Silk runs throughout the entire collection, appearing in embroidered batiste, georgette, and crinkled fabrics, all featuring draping, sheer elements, and controlled volumes. Off-white and ecru tones dominate the color palette, while the veiled bride completes the vision.
CERO thus encapsulates the path the brand has taken. A Fine Arts graduate specializing in fashion design, Aurelia Gil has focused her work on reviving the art of couture and creating unique, timeless garments. With a track record spanning over 20 years, the brand has evolved towards bespoke tailoring, with a focus on bridalwear.
