Odette Álvarez presented her Spring/Summer 2027 collection, Nimba, at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. The name derives from nimbus, the Latin word for cloud, and highlights that moment when everything seems to fall into place. After fifteen years at the helm of the brand, the fashion designer turns her gaze toward the women who have accompanied her creative journey.
In them, she acknowledges the strength, sensitivity, and sophistication transmitted in this collection where the harmony, proportion, and balance of Japanese aesthetics act as the starting point for silhouettes with ethereal volumes that coexist with clean, structured lines.
The color palette draws from the sky and the light: white, cloud blue, and indigo give way to a pastel range of pink, yellow, and mauve, contrasting with the intensity of black and scarlet red. Silk, crinkle chiffon, linen, cotton, poplin, and denim make up the collection’s textile foundation.
Adorning these fabrics are crystal and floral sequin embroideries, the House’s signature, adding texture, movement, and expert craftsmanship to every piece.
Fifteen years of craftsmanship that are evident in this collection through its embroidery and a palette that does not need to raise its voice.
