Evade House, the firm founded by Evangelina Julia, presented a screening and a static exhibition at OMODA Madrid es Moda centered on MANEVA (Collection 007), being the same collection originally showcased at an event on March 13th. The meet centered on the premiere of a film documenting the collection’s creative process.
MANEVA arose from loss and memory: the name fuses Manuel and Evangelina, and the collection is constructed as a maneuver against the passage of time. The horse—a body that runs, endures, escapes, and survives—gallops through the collection as a symbol of movement (understood simultaneously as instinct, memory, and collapse) and of the body as a vessel for discipline, pleasure, violence, and affection.
The film revisits this process through the tension between domestication and rebellion, transforming the garments into said movement’s echoes. The format also prompts a reflection on identity, time, and the limitations of the fashion show itself as a space capable of capturing something that, by nature, defines fixation.
While the collection was originally presented in March as an immersive experience at Madrid Arena’s Satellite Pavilion, the Nômade Temple event translates that same material into a screening and exhibition format, confirming film as an integral part of the label’s visual language.
